Tehreek-e-Insaf Public Accounts Committee split on the leadership’s dispute

ISLAMABAD: The ruling order of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was split on the Chairmanship of Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

A PTI faction is hoping to hold the PAC chairmanship opposition parties, but the second is strongly opposed.

According to Dawn reports, the party’s sources told Dawn that ‘Both their positions have been presented in front of Prime Minister Imran Khan, but the matter will be pending till the return of External Affairs Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi is the chairman of the Tehreek-e-Insaf, who is in the New York addressing the United Nations General Assembly and is expected to return this week this week.

Sources claimed that National Assembly Speaker Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Qaisar and Minister of Defense Pervez Khattak, are also entitled to give conspiracy as per the Chairman of the PAC’s Parliamentary Parliament.

It was informed that Minister of State for Agriculture, Asad Umar, Chief Minister, Fauzia Chaudhary, and Human Rights Minister Dr Sherin Mazari, are not in favor of giving PAC chairmanship to the PAC.

It is clear that Federal Minister for Information Fauzad Chaudhary said on September 26. “It is like appointing a PAC chairman to the PML candidate, such as the fox should be kept guarded by a bird’s dock.”

Opposition parties nominated 9 constituencies of the three assembly committees and opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif to head the parliament’s most important PA.

Federal Minister for Information Fauzad Chaudhary confirmed that there were various views in different party leaders on the controversy of PAC chairmanship.

He said that in private, he met the Speaker National Assembly and the Prime Minister and tried to assure that ‘PAC chairmanship has no right over the Ship opposition’.
